The value of the Biosphere Reserve for the Dadía, Evros Delta and Samothraki Island
Education has been an integral part of Biosphere Reserves’ operations since their inception. According to UNESCO, Biosphere Reserves, as living laboratories of sustainability, provide ideal settings for Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) (Lima Action Plan, 2016–2025; Hangzhou Strategic Action Plan, 2026–2035).
